The Science Behind No Spills

Every great invention starts with a mess. Ours started with yogurt on a car seat (raita phail gaya). A tipped thali, and a dad muttering "there has to be a better way." There was. But he needed someone to actually build it.

Enter Mufaddal — 3D printing enthusiast, and the guy who turned a concept into the world's first engineered tiffin stabilization system.

In Silicon Valley, we do the math before we do the bath.

Tipping occurs when lateral force × center of mass height exceeds gravity × base radius:

r_base > ( a_lateral × h_com ) / g

a_lateral = braking / cornering acceleration (g)  ·  h_com = center of mass height (mm)

At 0.85g hard braking: r_min = 161mm

Printed base alone: 125mm — his printer could only do so much. Not enough.

GroundLock™ — eight radial slots, each with an extending peg. Because math assumes flat surfaces. Roads don't.

Standard kit: four 76mm GroundLocks → r_base = 201mm → rated to 1.06g — beyond a full panic stop.

Schumacher kit: eight 101mm GroundLocks → r_base = 225mm → rated to 1.18g — if your driving embarrasses Schumacher.

Then he modeled it. He sliced it. He printed it. He tested it — through sharp turns, hard brakes, and real-world car testing on the streets. Possibly the first time a home 3D-printing hobbyist has applied structural dynamics to a food carrier problem.
